Oak and Granite Table

My client was left with an offcut of granite following a kitchen installation some years earlier and I was asked if it could be used to make a dining table.
It was decided that character grade oak should be used to form the tables base. This has moderate figure and occasional knots which would, with precision joinery, complement the granite perfectly.

The final image below shows how the table could look as a work from home desk.
