Oak Side Tables

The brief from my client was to design and make two side tables to accompany their new sofa. The tables should be made from oak, have plenty of open storage and be fairly simple in form.

I opted for character grade oak as this has a subtle rustic charm, much like my clients cottage. The two tables are almost identical at first glance. However, they have both been made to fit the different sized spaces perfectly with one accommodating plumbing controls for the underfloor heating.
