Paint and Stone

Project Description: Paint and Stone Kitchen
Clients: Private Residential
Year: 2019

Galley kitchens can soon feel cramped if using dark colours and/ or numerous wall mounted cabinets and I have included a “before image” below to demonstrate this.

The re-design of this kitchen opts for warm but soft natural tones which make for a calming, neutral space and there are no wall units which helps the light to flood in from the garden. Lighting is in the “warm” range with the addition of plinth mounted mood lighting.

The quartz worktops, no longer staggered along their front edges, are deep and seamless. They are dressed with flowers or plants to reflect the seasons along with simple, practical everyday items.

A view of the kitchen from my first site visit showing the staggered worktops, dark wood and multiple wall units.
